  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed (15 oz)

  • pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • toppings (optional) shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, diced avocado

Instructions

  • Brown Beef: In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add grass-fed ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Sauté Vegetables: Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped bell pepper to the pot with the beef. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  • Simmer: Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let the chili simmer for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together, stirring occasionally.
  • Adjust Seasoning: Taste the chili and adjust the seasoning if needed, adding more salt, pepper, or chili powder according to your preference.
  • Serve: Ladle the hot chili into bowls and garnish with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, or diced avocado. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious classic beef chili!
