Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 3-4 Measuring spoons
  • 1 knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 grill or skillet
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 meat thermometer
  • 1 serving platter

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika optional
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs optional
  • 1 egg optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients: Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.
Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and paprika (if using). Optionally, add breadcrumbs for added texture and an egg for binding.
Mix Thoroughly: Gently mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can result in tough burger patties.
Form Patties: Divide the mixture into equal-sized portions, depending on how big you want your burger patties to be. Use your hands to shape each portion into a round patty, about 3/4 to 1 inch thick. Make an indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.
  • Pan-Frying: Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for approximately 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
  • Serve: Once the burger patties are cooked, serve them immediately on burger buns with your favorite toppings and condiments, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.
